Article submission
Kesher is a journal in the Hebrew language, publishing original research articles and academic reviews on subjects relating to the history of Jewish media, or its current functions and influence, from a multidisciplinary perspective. All articles are examined by the Journal's advisory board and peer reviewed by two external experts. Papers accepted for publication are copyedited.
Articles are to be submitted in Word format to presstau@tauex.tau.ac.il
The articles should not exceed 8,000 words, including footnotes and bibliography.
The authors are requested to submit an additional file, with full names and affiliations (in Hebrew and English), phone numbers, and emails.
Concurrent submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals is strictly prohibited.
Submissions previously published in other languages will not be accepted, except for special cases, with the approval of both journals' editors.
Authors are responsible for adjusting the paper to academic citation and reference rules. For full submission instructions (in Hebrew) press here.
After an article is accepted, the authors will be required to submit an English abstract (400-600 words).
Photographs and illustrations may be submitted by the authors if they choose to do so. All illustrations must be submitted as separate, high-quality images (JPEG or TIFF) at a resolution of at least 200 DPI. Captions (submitted by email or in Word file) will include a brief description and basic information (photographer/source/archive etc.)
Authors are responsible for securing copyright permissions for any third-party materials.
The editorial board welcomes the submission of book reviews, for new books in the journal's areas of interest, and proposes such reviews itself.
Kesher regularly publishes a list of recently approved doctoral dissertations and master's theses, along with abstracts of up to 400 words for master's theses and up to 650 words for doctoral dissertations.
